Zembo - the Solar Powered Motorcycle
Zembo offers electric motorcycles to boda-boda drivers and recharges batteries in its solar stations. The business comprises the leasing (rent to own) of electric motorcycles to taxi drivers in Uganda and the battery charge through a network of solar stations through battery swap: driver swaps their discharged battery against a recharged battery at their provided solar stations. Zembo remains the owner of the battery, drivers pay only for energy and battery amortization.
