Carbon Re is an Industrial AI company on a mission to reduce carbon emissions from energy-intensive industries on the gigatonne scale. A joint spin-out of Cambridge University and UCL, Carbon Re develops AI-powered software that optimises complex production processes. Starting with cement, which accounts for 8% of global greenhouse gas emissions, Carbon Re’s software improves quality and reduces fuel consumption in the pyro-process stage of production – saving up to 5% of fuel-derived carbon emissions per plant, per year, today (equivalent to taking 6,500 cars off the road every year). Installation of the software requires no capital investment, no new equipment and no plant shutdowns. Founded by an expert team passionate about addressing the climate crisis, Carbon Re merges cutting-edge technology with a deep understanding of industrial processes to offer scalable solutions across industries.
