As consumers increasingly adopt Distributed Energy Resources (DERs), utilities need sophisticated technical solutions to remain competitive. Podero supports utilities by enabling the delivery of smart electricity products through optimized management of heat pumps, electric vehicles, EV chargers, inverters, and battery storage systems. With advanced device aggregation, forecasting, and trading algorithms, Podero not only helps consumers save money by steering energy consumption according to spot-market prices and PV production through Home Energy Management Systems (HEMS), but also unlocks new revenue streams. These revenues come from trading in spot day-ahead, intra-day, and aFRR balancing energy markets, with prequalification already achieved in Austria. This innovative approach empowers utilities to stay ahead, maximize profitability, and offer better value to their customers.
