Ener-G-Africa was incorporated to address the energy needs of the rural households in Sub-Saharan Africa. Ener-G-Africa helps to tackle the challenges of climate change and improve the lives of people in Africa through its research and development of quality sustainable energy products. EGA manufactures and distributes locally-made solar panels, biomass fuels and a range of biomass cooking stoves. Two key factors shaped Ener-G-Africa’s decision to manufacture and export products within Africa: product quality and availability. Upon evaluating the options available in rural areas, we found that many products were of poor quality, lacked durability, and were priced out of reach for most households. This gap motivated them to develop affordable, high-quality, and durable products tailored to the needs of these communities. EGA actively promotes access to clean and renewable energy for all, while protecting Africa’s natural resources for future generations.
