Boosting Energy Density Battery Cells with Silicon Annode

Founded in 2016, LeydenJar provides a sustainable alternative to traditional Lithium-ion battery nodes for the first time since the advent of batteries. Replacing the traditional Lithium-ion node by 70% with LeydenJar’s pure silicon anode, not only doubles the life cycle of battery cells but also reduces CO2 emissions along the production process by 80%.

CEO and Co-founder, Christian Rood, founded this innovative start-up, which has gone on from a “lean virtual company” to the largest battery lab in the Netherlands. “It is SGD-7 that is focused on energy and that is clearly where we have the most contribution. By enabling electrification in products that don’t have a cord…”

LeydenJar Technologies in Berlin!
